PS3 Issues

Well, chances are nobody will be able to help me, but I thought I'd share my misery.

I was playing Skate 2 (Which is the most insane game) when suddenly my PS3 turned off. So I turned it back on and started to play again. When again it happened. So now I start to worry...

And I should. When I turn it on this time the disc won't load. None will, and so I thought of trying a system restore.

Now to make it worse, I have to make a retarded decision! I forgot that system restoring would delete my user on the PS3 and delete all my saved data!

On the plus side, even if I did lose my game data, I'd still have my trophies when I hook my new user with my PSN. I wasn't really anywhere too far into Skate 2, and all my other games I don't play much except for cod4.

So what I'm trying to say is...

DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE ON HOW TO FIX THE FACT THAT MY GAMES WONT LOAD?

If not, I guess I'll have to try calling and seeing if I with any luck can get a new PS3.

Well now it seems my luck has gotten worse. Warranty ended last month and so I can't get a new one. Chances are I won't play a game for a long time... At least theres flatland to look forward to, I hope the snows gone early this year...

Does it do that for every game you play? If you wanna restore your system, you should back up your game data. Of course, you'll have to re-download the things you got from the PS Store. I'm gutted that I lost my Crash Team Racing game data when I reset mine!

I was too set on getting my PS3 to load anything that I restored without backing up first...

Now there's a very high chance I'll be picking up a 360.

The only thing miss is my CTR single player data. I can re-download all my game add-ons, so it's not too bad.
