Online COD4: Solo Style

I was off work yesterday, so I thought I’d do a little experiment because none of my friends were online. I decided to see what teams and conditions I’d be forced to deal with by playing solo.

Be advised: this is NOT a self-glory thread, or anything of the like. I win some, I lose some. Like anybody, and sometimes worse than most!

First game: I decided not to even touch a flag this game. Lucky for me, my team were flag hungry, but then I would have done more if it was a longer game (that’s one of my choppers in the upper right corner).

This game was on Overgrown, so I decided to roll with my G3. This was harder to win, as we kept on losing flags. More legwork than kills here, I’m afraid.

This game on Broadcast I’m proud of (it was a lot better than it appears). We CONTINUOUSLY lost flags. I had to run around like a maniac to get the flags back, and it shows by how many times I got capped! We won 201-200. When the game was tied at 199-199, they capped a flag(we were dominating, then went 2-1, then 1-2), so I don’t know how that one worked out.

This game: awful. T’was totally dreadful. I got massacred by the constant stream of enemy choppers. I was using an assault rifle (G3 I think) and was MVP of my team the whole time. If the choppers really do have threat levels for players, it would explain a lot! My team said that they ‘did well, considering’. Considering what?! I capped flags for no apparent reason here, as it shows. If I remember correctly, it was a narrow loss.

My first game without the luck of getting host. My team was more than capable of holding their own which was lucky for me. I took B, got my momentum (expert G3 use of course ) called in my chopper – Host Ended Game. W*nker!

Another flag-leaking game. I took B twice on my own. Died, and lost it before I respawned. Ridiculous. Most of my team was hiding by our only flag most of the game. Not to mention than they probably couldn’t hit a bull’s backside with a banjo on the connection they were given. Oh well.

After I came back from watching Man U thump Derby at the pub, I came home and played a few games. This was one of them. I sobered up a little, helped our team get flags, pinned them in their spawn and reaped some benefits. I got more kills going for flags and being half-tipsy than I did flag dodging. How things work out!

For reliability I played a game mode I HATE playing on my own: Search and Destroy. Luckily, for the games I played, I got in before the game started, but I forgot about the silenced G3 glitch! Both games weren’t terrible, and my team were ok so we won both games.

Conclusion: Playing on your own is a lottery: you can be the shining star, but you team/connection can make things a lot harder for you to actually win! If your stats conscious, solo play is definitely something to avoid!

Damn those are some good scores but the 1st one to be fair look at the other team they were all crap. I'm going to make sure your added because i'd love to start playing more cod4 again as I now hate W@W and I used to rock at modern warfare so I hope to play with you some time

Some nice KD ratios there, even in the games your team sucked.

SnD alone, is Idk. It can completely suck or not. Sometimes you get in late, sometimes the games ended because the host died, or sometimes your alone trying to do 1 vs 6 clutch every match. By far the most irritating game to play without a party.

You know whats a really fun game to play when your drunk? Wii Sports! AHAHA,

It was a nice study you did, yet I don't know if it was worth the time. But why not when your trying to sober up eh?

And is W*nker a really offensive name in the UK? I think I remeber hearing it somewhere!

The first game they were on the back foot the entire match, and I just bypassed B and got kill streaks off them. The 64-16 game on Downpour was in the evening, after I was watching the football (soccer for you Yanks!) and I was sobering up a bit. Yes, 'w*nker is offensive in th UK. Along the same likes as 'd*ckhead'.

I knew what football was, because to me that just makes so much more sense! You kick a BALL with your FOOT is order to win. WTF is soccer? Whoever named the sport soccer is a handitard. Yes, a handitard. Handicap+Retard
