| Here is the results of my speedtest on www.speedtest.com tested from my PS3: Ping: The lower, the better Download: General gameplay Upload: How fast you upload information(vital for hosting) Low Ping + High upload=Good host! It's not the best, but most people in the games I host get 3 and 4 bars. Test on your home PC and/or PS3 and post your results here | |

| A networking cable gives you a more stable connection. When you use wireless, it's a bit sketchy. Keep an eye out for the latency(ping) too. <50 will mean your shots will register before most. If you have a ping of over 100, I suggest sticking to explosives or using an assault rifle at a distance!
My upload isn't the best, but most people get 3 or 4 bars. I think I hosted a ground war okay, but don't hold me to that.

| i wired my PS3 last night instead of having wireless and i think it made such a difference!! the game felt alot smother and quicker in some kind of way, i was doing crap in groundwar because i just wasn't used to having the quicker reactions | |

| Glad to hear it! Test your speed again. Use your PC to do it. Sometimes the upload doesn't run when you test from the PS3. | |

| Swamps, could you do the test? It's just to see if you'd be a better game host than me. | |

| this was done not long ago but im running 2 pc's and 2 ps3's of my wireless but am hoping to hardwire my connection (involves a bit of hassle and moving either the modem or just the router)within the next 2 weeks so that should make it a lot stronger *edit i will point out that us in the uk never get a good upload speed all down to our service providers there a bit stingy so hostings always a problem unless the game lobby is full of uk players... | |

| That's a better connection than mine. When you get hard wired, you'll host the parties, so everyone gets a decent ping. | |

| well i finally got it all set up and now im hardwired to the ps3 i tried to do a speedtest on the ps3 from speedtest.net but it wouldn't do the upload test not sure why i tried 5 or 6 times and i've tested it before when it was a wireless connection....
i know my connection's better on there from what it did do as the ping was holding around the 25-30 mark as it normall goes to about 50 and my download speed was peaking at 24mb so i can only guess that my upload should be somewhere around the 1mb mark..
as from the other night aswell it wasn't to bad i know we were only doing a TT but i'd still like to see what its like with a full 12 people and me hosting....

| Yeah, your connection is better than mine, so when we're all on you should host. | |
